How to Face Crises

Reading Time: 3 minutes
Psalm 23:1, 4 | 1 Peter 5:7 | Romans 8:28

God is with you in every circumstance
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” (Psalm 23:1)
“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” (Psalm 23:4)

Life isn’t always easy. We go through valleys, shadows, and moments when everything seems dark. But in the midst of that darkness, God promises we are not alone. He is our Shepherd, our protector, and faithful guide. His presence is constant—even during the longest nights. His rod corrects us, His staff guides us, and His love gives us strength.
Facing a crisis doesn’t mean avoiding it, but rather walking through it with the confidence that God goes before you.

Recognize reality without losing faith
“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7)

Denying pain or pretending everything is fine is not faith. True faith acknowledges reality but refuses to be ruled by fear. We may cry, feel frustrated or exhausted—but never let go of God’s hand. He wants us to hand over our anxieties, to pour out our hearts before Him. His care is not shallow or temporary—it is deep, constant, and full of love.

God has a purpose in the midst of pain and crisis
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28)

Even when we don’t understand the why of suffering, we can trust God with the what for. He can use even the hardest situations to shape our character, strengthen our faith, and prepare us for something greater. Nothing is wasted in God’s hands.
What makes you cry today can become tomorrow’s testimony of victory. God turns crisis into growth and pain into purpose.

Sincerely,
Pastor Guillermo Ayala
